Guest Presentation begins at 7:00 PM – please be prompt.  Regular meeting follows.
Guest Speaker:  Dr. Chris Visser, Veterinary Dental Specialist

Dr. Visser, in addition to having a veterinary dental practice, volunteers his services to the Phoenix Zoo performing dental and oral surgery procedures on zoo animals.
As an author and lecturer. Dr. Visser was awarded Veterinarian of the Year, 2007” by the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association. 
Dr. Visser was inducted into the Arizona Veterinary Hall of Fame in 2013.
Join us as Dr. Visser provides tips on good dental health for our dogs as well as sharing some of his experiences.

Pam Heine [Founder] and Bette Read [Vol Coord] of  RUBY RANCH Pet Rescue & Sanctuary

Pam and Bette will discuss how Ruby Ranch cares for all breeds of small dogs, with a focus on seniors and those with health issues. Most of their dogs come from shelters; many of their rescues were scheduled for euthanasia (E-list).

Diane Bykowski’s Zoe, and Leah Leininger’s Kewbie and Lilli, were all pulled from the E-list by Ruby Ranch.

Ruby Ranch would be pleased to accept donations from Pets on Wheels volunteers.  Here are suggestions of what they need.

Food – Natural, grain free

     Suggested brands-Natural Choice, Earth Blend, Wellness, Kirkland puppy

Pet supplies

Small and medium mesh harnesses (sometimes available at the Dollar Store)

Disposable potty/pee pads

Toys (new, or used and clean )

Cleaning supplies

Towels – all sizes preferably white or light colored to withstand bleach.

Paper towels, laundry products / soap, bleach, garbage bags

Gift cards to Frys or Trader Joe’s

Special meals are prepared for the dogs with food allergies and for those who have just had surgery.
